Doritos Locos Tacos Better Job Creator Than President Obama

by Cornelius Nunev

One of the terms that gets flung around, specifically during presidential campaign seasons, is "job makers." A ton of things could be job creators, evidently even tacos as Taco Bell's Doritos Locos tacos apparently added 15,000 careers to Taco Bell's payrolls.

Helped Taco Bell a lot

Ever watch those "TED" Talks? It's basically a series of symposiums where rich people talk about things in front of other wealthy people. One was controversial. Nick Hanauer, a venture capitalist and founding buyer in Amazon, said that business people weren't really job makers - consumers are.

If people want an increased chain of supply, then it is important to demand it. The careers are created for venture capitalists by a rise in demand from the average consumer.

Evidently, executives were offended, so the footage was buried. You can still find it on YouTube though.

Taco Bell proved his point though. Taco Bell, in fact, is adding 15,000 jobs to the payroll simply since the "Doritos Locos" tacos were quite popular and there was such a high demand, according to Daily Mail.

How can 15,000 careers come?

It seems type of silly that 15,000 jobs could possibly be produced from one taco. Taco Bell does not explain how this correlates either.

That aside, the tasty treats were a smashing success. After test runs in restricted locations went well, Taco Bell rolled them out nationwide. Over 2012, 375 million were sold and that many taco supporters cannot be wrong. It accounted, according to the Christian Science Monitor, for almost a quarter of Taco Bell's taco sales.

The Nacho Cheese flavor was launched last year. During the last couple of weeks, the Cool Ranch flavor was launched, according to the LA Times. The Cool Ranch flavor has 140 calories and 7 grams of fat while the nacho flavor has 160 calories and 10 grams of fat. It also costs less than $2 per taco, so it will not break the personal bank to spend there.

Evidently a big deal

Individuals have gone absolutely crazy over the Doritos tacos. It does not make any sense, but it is what people are doing. It was just like what happened with the McRibs, which were also gross.

Maybe this wonderful modern day IS that dull.
