by Heidi Arrowood

Digital Stamps are more popular than rubber stamps. You don't need wood blocks or cling cushion clear blocks. Things are now digital and stamps are to. Not only are digital stamps cheap they are staying up with technology. Digital stamps cost between 2.00 to 3.00 dollars and some companies offer sales and coupon codes. Freebie digital stamps are given out to say thank you and also for people to try. Good news for crafters because it won't cost a fortune to buy digital stamps as it would rubber stamps.

One main reason digital stamps are popular than rubber stamps is they are often offered as instant digital downloads. This means after you pay for your digital stamp you get the jpeg file immediately in your email. That means no waiting and also no shipping cost. Which means you can starting card making and crafting right away and save money. You don't need to wait for a product in the mail as you would for a rubber stamp or even go to the craft store to make a purchase. You can buy a variety of digital stamps right from your computer instantly.

The second reason digital stamps are popular than rubber stamps is because they require no storage! Digital stamps are stored right on your computer and you can print them as you wish. You can create folders and label them fall, birthday, etc and keep your digital stamps organized. Some people like to print them out and store in a binder for easy access. Rubber stamps on the other hand can take over your closet, desk and drawers.

Digital stamps can be resized and that is why they are popular than rubber stamps. Photoshop and Microsoft word will allow you to enlarge and shrink digital stamps. You can combine, flip and even rotate images for more creativity. Rubber stamps are one sized and can't be resized.

The fourth reason digital stamps are popular than rubber stamps is that artists can have their own shop. Many artists are starting there own digital stamp shops creating and selling their own designs vs licensing designs or starting a rubber stamp company. The cost is very minimum and only requires time to create new art. Heidi Arrowood from 2 cute ink has now gone from creating and selling her own rubber stamps to licensing her artwork for rubber stamps to now just selling digital stamps on her own. She has found this to be more cost effective than selling rubber stamps and it allows her freedom to draw a variety of images and get feedback from fans on what images they would like to see.
